Miaftr2 Software Release 1.36

  • A Miaftr2 software release was implemented on Tuesday 29th November 2005.
This contained the following enhancements which were identified in the user survey carried out earlier this year:

Matching Filters

Miaftr2 now offers you the flexibility to manage your own matching process.
This enables you to return only those matches, which meet your own criteria, helping you to focus on those that are likely to be of greatest interest. This is achieved by applying some or all of the following filters to the matching process.
Full details are available in ‘Matching Filters’ via the following link: miaftr-hpi.info/document.asp

Registration Email Alerts

These alerts now include the name and contact telephone number of the other registering party

Thank you

Our mission is to offer a significantly enhanced service to the insurance industry and related parties, for the management of motor vehicle fraud and theft claims and aims to deliver the following benefits over the existing outgoing system:

Open technology standards, including Internet access, designed to provide compatibility with other industry initiatives;
New validation and alert facilities, improving data accuracy;
Improved fraud matching for claimants and vehicles;
Electronic finance matching on claims, at no cost;
Data transfer to the DVLA to support the Vehicle Identity Check (VIC) scheme - enabling paper-based processes for insurers to be further streamlined in the future.
